Burlap has a rustic look, yet it can be made into beautiful, elegant crafts. I guess that's why we love the look of burlap made items.
It seems the simple wedding details seem to make the largest impact. we thought it would be a fun weekend DIY for you to craft with your lovely bridesmaids. Read on to find out how you can craft this DIY burlap placecard for your rustic wedding using just a few simple supplies.
Supplies:
burlap fabric, scissors, sewing machine
cardstock and pen or marker of your choice or you can print them
You cut as many stripes as you need, this is done for a wedding, so the quantity is a lot. You can cut lengths and then the strips for about 1 inch witdh and 311.8" cm length. Two sizes of stripes for double hearts 11.8" and 10.2", or one of 11 .8" stripe. Also the length depends on how big do you want the hearts.
Then fold the stripes in two. Put the short one on long stripe and fold in the middle.
After you put them together place on the sewing machine and sew one straight line. Repeat this for as many hearts as you need.
Cut a piece of cardstock 2 3/4″ long and about 1/2″ thick. You can pen write, or print them and then cut.
Place one heart at each guest’s seat, preferably surrounded by wildflowers and mason jars filled with freshly brewed iced tea.
And, there you have it: a sweetly simple rustic wedding place card that won’t break the bank!
